Mission Statement
The mission of the Maryland Highway Safety Foundation is to educate motorists, prevent collisions and save lives.
The Maryland Highway Safety Foundation was established in 2008 by Fred Mirmiran, the president of Johnson, Mirmiran, and Thompson.
Joined by a team of concerned business, civic and community leaders, the MHSF strives to raise awareness of driving dangers, provide knowledge and resources to the community, strengthen driving safety legislation, and empower Marylanders to drive safer.
Motivated by the annual Maryland statistics of approximately 600 fatalities, over 42,000 injuries, and $3.5 billion in costs resulting from motor vehicle collisions, the MHSF is committed to dramatically decreasing these numbers. Through our numerous efforts and raised awareness of safe driving practices, we are confident that we can continue to save lives.
